About Our Lights
LED (Light Emitting Diode) Technology offers enormous benefits for on and off-road 4wd, vehicle lighting applications. Their long life, durability, and efficiency, means LED lights provide significant service cost and power consumption savings. Because LED’s do not contain a filament like traditional halogen, they are able to withstand extreme off-road conditions and vibrations, unlike their HID counterparts. Coupled with the rigorously designed Zombie Light casings and mount brackets, this combination makes for the perfect unit for off-road 4wd applications in Australian conditions.
LUMENS VS LUX
The raw lumen figure that an LED produces is different to a lux. Lumens provide a figure of the total amount of light being produced. Lux measures the intensity of the light. Zombie lights have a high lumen output figure and also have a high lux reading, to attain maximum intensity at a longer distance.
COLOUR TEMPERATURE SPECTRUM
The colour spectrum of Zombie Lights LEDs is very similar to the colour spectrum of daylight. Generally, the human eye functions more effectively when viewing objects illuminated by a light source whose colour spectrum is closest to this. Zombie Lights run at 6200k (on the Kelvin Scale).
Zombie Lights have an IP rating of IP68. This code highlights the extent of how water and dust proof your new LED driving lights will be. IP stands for Ingress Protection and the ratings for 6 and 8 are below:
6) Dust tight – no ingress of dust
8) Protected against permanent submersion in water (up to 13 feet)
Zombie lights, round driving lights, only use quality 304 stainless steel, 4.5mm thick mount brackets with stainless bolts to pivot and lock, therefore avoiding any movement through vibration. Our LED lightbars, utilize 4 x matching aluminum, underslung mount brackets. These are mounted into a sliding rail and are able to be adjusted both, left to right to match an existing mount hole, and tilt forward and back to achieve desired beam height.
The Zombie wiring looms have been especially designed, utilising Deutsch DT and Deutsch DTP connectors. We also only use a 40 amp quality relay and heavy 12 gauge marine grade wiring, to ensure minimal voltage drop, and maximum current to the lights. The wiring looms are designed to work in conjunction with our lights, giving you an easy to install, quality, plug and play system.
